Chaplain (CPT) Lisa Northway served as a Chaplain Assistant in various components of the Reserve Armed Forces for 11 years before her commissioning as a chaplain in 2005. Within the year and during her first combat deployment, she became the Chaplain at Camp Buehring, Kuwait and saw thousands of soldiers pass through her chapel doors before they crossed the Iraqi border. After her return home, Lisa was invited to Fort Carson, CO with the 1st Mobilization Brigade. In 2007, she was selected for Regular Army Active Duty and a few months later reported to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division with whom she went on her second deployment. Upon return to Fort Carson she worked with Survivor Outreach Services. Lisa is currently assigned to the 309th Military Intelligence Battalion, 111th MI BDE, where she works with Initial Entry Soldiers at Fort Huachuca, AZ. Lisa and her civilian husband, Garrett, serve together in the military community, and are the proud parents of son Gabriel, who is part of a church plant team in Texas.
